Us Five Together is a 3D Narrative-Driven RPG game in development by Sunday Studios. Sunday Studios is a student-led team of around 30-ish passionate people around the world.

Project Party was our working title. Us Five Forever is the recently voted final title that we still need to incorporate into our main menu and such.

Development

Currently, we are working on developing Act 1 of the story, and are working on getting a playable demo by the end of the year. Since Us Five Forever is still in the making, I won’t reveal too much from behind the scenes. However, my main role within the team is as a programmer/game designer, and I help to make the gameplay systems and mechanics and connect it to the story. Some prevalent systems I’m working on include the dialogue system, the interactable, and the inventory. Additionally, I work to playtest and record any bugs in detail for later debugging by myself or the team.

Since this is a large scale project, I attend weekly programming meetings where we collectively can discuss priority systems, keep track of progress and communicate with the game lead on the vision from artists, designers, etc. We use a mixture of GitHub and Taiga in order to log tickets and assign issues to members.

Outside of coding, I help with outreach and recruiting for various roles, such as looking for new programmers, new play testers for fresh perspectives and currently working on looking for voice actors.
